Process
This work represents the school’s choreographic vision of combining classical Chinese aesthetics with modern movement practice. Dancers were trained to shift between grounded weight and lifted energy, interpreting cultural imagery through a contemporary lens.
Feather is a lyrical stage piece that merges contemporary dance with elements of Chinese folk movement. Inspired by the image of a feather in flight, the choreography evokes lightness, suspension, and collective flow. The piece features circular patterns, extended lines, and fluid transitions, blending grounded modern dynamics with traditional motifs of softness and grace. Performs by school's dance performance group.
